Rodgers & Hammerstein’s fifth musical, based on the novel Anna and the King of Siam, was first performed in 1951. After a movie and countless revivals, The King and I remains an audience favourite. Colourful costumes and classic songs such as Getting to Know You, We Kiss in a Shadow and Hello Young Lovers are highlights in this epic story of a British school teacher and her complex relationship with the King of Siam.
