Join us for the play Love Letters directed by Julanne Shearer, as part of GCLT’s Mini Series.
Love Letters is a play by A. R. Gurney that was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The play centers on two characters, Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III.
Using the epistolary form, they sit side by side at tables and read the notes, letters and cards – in which over nearly 50 years, they discuss their hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, victories and defeats – that have passed between them throughout their separate lives.
Love Letters will be performed over three nights with a different cast each night, featuring:
Fri 27 Nov: Patrick Mitchell and Del Halpin
Sat 28 Nov: Stuart Lumsden and Amy-Louise Anderson
Sun 29 Nov: Kurt A Lerps and Kate Peters
To allow for social distancing, the audience capacity is capped at 70. Tickets are general admission only, so specific seats cannot be booked for this event. Since the number of people allowed in the foyer is very limited, we ask that audience members wishing to purchase drinks from the bar please do so quickly and return to their seat to consume them. Thank you for your understanding as we negotiate this difficult time!
