Comedy, cowgirls and country music

Set in far outback Queensland in the 1960s, this  hilarious and heartfelt ‘play-with-music’ sees an unlikely friendship form between two women of wildly different temperaments.
Vicki (Francesca Spear) is a submissive housewife and conforming Catholic, while Rae (Becky Morgan) is a brash and hard-living barmaid, abandoned on the roadside by her rodeo-riding husband of eight weeks. Together they tackle their way through the sixties towards independence and their dreams.

The production features the songs of Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash and June Carter. Enjoy songs such as I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry, Your Cheatin’ Heart, Crazy, Jackson and Walking After Midnight.

This is a strong piece of theatre from a talented team with plenty of laughs and heartfelt moments. Don’t miss it!
