Synopsis

Pride and Prejudice adapted for the stage by Jane Kendall Closely following Jane Austen’s famous historical novel, the play takes us into the home of Mr and Mrs Bennet and their five unmarried (gasp!) daughters. Elizabeth Bennet is the high spirited and independent daughter in the Bennet clan. Opposite her is Mr Darcy, a most formidable wealthy batchelor. Elizabeth and Darcy are clearly meant for each other, but in Austenian fashion they must at first antagonize each other. By the end of the play, Darcy relinquishes his stiff-necked pride and Elizabeth yields her prejudice against him.

Are you a proud Mr Darcy? A gallant Mr Bingley? Always wanted to be a Bennet sister?

Be the heroes of Jane Austen’s famous tale!

Audition for our production of Pride and Prejudice.

We are especially seeking to cast our male roles in this production. It’s not all that often that you get the chance to be part of a classic so register now!

The cast will play five male and ten female characters (and everyone may have a chance to play Hill!!)

Character ages are flexible and for smaller characters, there are opportunities for doubling and cross-casting gender and age. Yes, we will have some fun with this!

All roles are open to actors of all ethnicities, cultural backgrounds and gender identities.
