What a great night we had on Friday 12 December, 2025 when over 100 members and guests gathered at the theatre to celebrate GCLT’s 75th Anniversary.
Of the 16 current life members, 13 managed to attend, including 97 year old Joyce Grant who attended with her daughter, Morag. The audience was full of past directors, performers and support crew, some of whom hadn’t seen each other in years – a wonderful chance for a catch-up!
Julanne Shearer and Shane Caddaye, both life members, gave a well-considered and interesting stage presentation supported by Lawrie Esmond on technical: lots of audience interaction and some great show photos. Sandy & Bob and the FOH team provided an outstanding supper after the presentation – the perfect cap to the night!
It was so nice to see everyone reliving past triumphs and reconnecting with old friends and cast mates – such a happy buzz! Thanks to all who helped the night to happen, and the enthusiastic audience members who took time out of their busy schedules to help us celebrate.
