David Williamson's TRAVELLING NORTH

Directed by Noella Johnson

Last performed at GCLT in 1989

The fourth play during our anniversary year is a new production of David Williamson's TRAVELLING NORTH, last seen at GCLT in 1989. The director Noella Johnson says, 'Williamson has written a beautiful  play, both funny and tender about the twilight love affair of retired engineer Frank, and Frances, who hopes to retire from being a baby-sitting nanny!'

'They journey north together discovering that life is about renewal, growth and moving on. Frank and Frances are determined to live a life that is not defined by their children but they do find that every relationship must deal with complex and secret uncertainties, feelings and phobias which so often mask our daily relationships.'

This new production plays from September 11th until October 2nd - bookings can be made by phoning the GCLT Box Office on 5532 2096, or direct  on-line at www.gclt.com.au (go to the Bookings page).
